I refer you to this post.

And I offer you this, from Mark Constantine’s facebook page.

  1. Cuntstantine has no idea, does he? What a cock.

Whether the buyer woman minds, or the buttocks mind, is entirely beside the point. He is meant to be leading by example. He has said before he communicates with employees and customers via his facebook page (where he gets a cringeworthy amount of bum licking; I am guessing this feeds his narcissistic sociopathic profile well. Unlike his forum customers who now must be moderated until they learn to ‘behave’ in a manner that befits them as Lush customers i.e. living up to Lush’s expectations). (Yeah, really).

As an observer who it looks like he is saying several things. Here are just 3.

    1) Seeing naked buttock cheeks of the male animal must obviously be enthralling for a female employee; of course I realise this is most likely sarcasm judging by the look on the woman’s face but everything about his statement is wrong. Would you even want to have any ambiguity in what you say when you know how many of your employees or customers are reading it? And what about the gentleman – does he know he is being referred to as a piece of meat, a bit of eye candy? Is that not highly sexist? Is that something you want your employees to see as acceptable? Misogyny and misandry in one post, not bad going for an ethical employer.

    2) As an employer he should be making sure no employee is put in a situation like that. Ever.

    3) Why post the picture up. To humiliate either party? Even if the subjects agree, what kind of message does this send out to the rest of his employees – that this is acceptable behaviour during working time?

Regardless of whether it’s posted in ‘jest’ and that both the poster, the subjects and the entire world thinks it’s funny, he has the responsibility as an employer to do better than that. What next? A picture of a male employee next to a woman with huge cleavage and the caption,

“Dave liked needed cheering up whilst working 12 hour days in a freezing shop with the doors open. Phwoar!”

Sometimes I sit puzzled and struggle to work out how a company operating in a developed nation can be so retarded. Then you see posts like that from the owner and it all becomes clear.

  2. There was a kind of “party” at the French Lush shops a few years ago called “tout le monde tout nu” or something (“everybody gets naked” in English) to celebrate “naked” products… soaps, Ballistics, massage and shampoo bars, all the products sold without… boxes (sorry, I don’t know the word). So we could see on the streets Lush shop teams dressed like the guy on the picture (OMG, is Peter André still alive ?! I’m scared for my ears !). Then, in August, there was another French party because of a demonstration against corrida. The employees were dressed in white and skinny clothed, lying on the street and covered with fake blood. Everyone could see through clothes. Bras and panties. There were mostly women. So… it was a little sexist, in a way.

I am quite shocked by the picture. The… fifty something lady and this guy with naked buttocks… Is that really representative of Lush ? An old woman visiting a gigolo ? I’m sorry but that’s what the pictures means to me at first sight…
